I am a writer and storyteller.

I’ve been a reader with an insatiable thirst for stories and beautiful words since grade school, when the book fair was an event more exciting than my own birthday party. This great admiration of writing kept my nose in books and led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah. 

An English degree will take you to unexpected places. After graduation, I ventured out to work in an art gallery doing writing, marketing, and event planning. The art gallery was followed by my first job as a copy editor, splashed with duties as a writer and an events manager for a career coach. These opportunities opened the door to work with a truly wonderful marketing agency along the way where I honed my skills in email campaigns, blogging, and social media. The instinctual pull toward creative writing in multiple realms and different capacities birthed the idea to become a freelance writer and travel blogger.

In my time as a freelancer over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some truly inspiring and unique clients. I’m grateful to each and every one of the businesses that have trusted me with helping to convey their value to their audiences. Now that I’m living abroad, I am thrilled to have space for creative writing and community building with the Aja Moon Writes art and travel blog. If you’ve read this far, thank you for being here.
